Milngavie Amateur Florists Inspired By Chelsea Flower Show!

Having been wowed by the horticultural beauty on display at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show, they decided to have a go themselves.

Katina and a group of residents kicked off the efforts by creating some stunning floral arrangements that dazzled the team.

Outside, resident Susan got to work on two stunning planters, which she filled with foliage and positioned on fence brackets.

Elsewhere, the raised flower beds were transformed into a Legoland Pirate Lighthouse extravaganza by volunteer gardener Isabel Ross.

Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coach Morag Scott said everybody is enjoying the flower power.

Morag said: “Move over, Chelsea - Team Milngavie is the best in show!

“The residents have had a brilliant time doing flower arranging, planting and reaping the rewards.

“The group created some incredible floral displays that we’ve dotted throughout the home.

“Susan did a great job with the planters. She told us she always did the pots in her garden, so it was a tradition she wanted to continue at Milngavie, and the results are terrific.

“Thanks to Isabel for volunteering to transform our flower beds and being so creative with the combination of Lego and flowers.

“We’ll be enjoying the results of her hard work all summer long!”
