Excitement is building at Cofton Park Manor Care Home following the announcement that the team have reached the finals in not one, but two, different industry awards.
Home Manager Kerry Hill and her team are thrilled to be shortlisted for both The National Care Awards (NCA) and the Great British Care Awards (GBCA).
They will find out whether they have won ‘Care Team of the Year’ at the NCA – which celebrates excellence in social care – at a gala dinner in London this November.
The team will also attend the West Midlands finals of the GBCA in Birmingham the very next day, after placing in the ‘Care Home Team’ category and the ‘Care Home Activity Organiser’ shortlist, where Wellbeing Coach Gail Bessent is a finalist.
Kerry said: “This is a wonderful surprise and I’m very proud of the team for getting shortlisted for both these award lists. To be recognised by the judges feels terrific, and it is particularly meaningful that Gail has a nomination as she’s retiring this year. We’re keeping our fingers crossed, especially for Gail, as it would be an amazing way to celebrate her incredible work at Cofton Park Manor.”
