A local care home is offering Dunstable residents a unique opportunity to experience life through the eyes of someone living with dementia.
On Tuesday 22 September, Caddington Grove Care Home on London Road will host a virtual dementia tour bus, open to anyone who would like to experience the simulation.
The home hopes to raise awareness and understanding of dementia in the Dunstable community during World Alzheimer’s Month and will also host activities and workshops as part of the day of learning.
Community Relations Manager Louise Chilcott said: “It is hard for people to truly understand what those living with dementia experience day to day.
“We are proud to be hosting the Virtual Dementia Tour from Training 2 Care and to be able to provide an immersive experience.
“Anyone can come along and try the simulation, as well as join in with the many different activities we are hosting, including inclusive dementia-friendly options.”
The bus will be accessible between 10am and 4.30pm in Caddington Grove’s car park, with the open house event taking place inside.
