Swing Time At Charrington’s Independence Day Bash

The swinging tunes of America’s top entertainers provided the perfect soundtrack to Charrington Manor’s 4th of July celebrations.

Local performer Daniel Brewerton took to the mic to sing the songs of Rat Pack legends Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.

Residents were spellbound by Daniel’s pitch-perfect set, which also included renditions of classic country songs from the USA.

After the entertainment, a barbecue feast was waiting for them, as Chef grilled burgers and hot dogs on the open fire.

Throw in potato salad, onion rings and Coca-Cola, and you have the perfect Independence Day refreshments.

Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coach Claudia Modiga said that the day was made perfect by the kind of glorious sunshine usually enjoyed in California.

Claudia said: “We could not have ordered better weather for our terrific Independence Day party.

“The residents loved watching Daniel’s performance and singing along to these fantastic Rat Pack tunes.

“It was great to have a barbecue in the sun, and everyone said they enjoyed themselves.”

The day also involved a quiz for residents about the 4th of July.

Claudia also said that residents swapped stories about holidays in the States.

She added: “A few of the residents have been to America, and there were conversations about trips to Florida.

“It was nice to hear about their experiences and great for residents to remember happy times in the USA.”
