Nesbit House was awarded the ‘Highly Commended’ prize in the Care Home Team category for the Southeast region.
The judges described the Nesbit House care team as “inspiring” and commended them for how well they worked together.
Judges said: “A close-knit team with a clear ambition of the future and their goals as an organisation in social care delivering outstanding social care. Inspiring.”
Regional manager Charles Knowles said: “This commendation is a credit to the whole team here at Nesbit, we are all very proud of each and every one of them.
“Everyone is 100% committed to creating personalised care that is outstanding. We are delighted and will certainly be organising a celebration here.
“The award has inspired the team to do even greater things for our residents, creating an environment where people can thrive.”
The energetic Nesbit House team have worked non-stop over the last year and during lockdown to create a series of fun activities for residents whilst also delivering excellent care.
As well as a personalised cocktail event, residents were on their toes when the team organised a quiz with TV celebrity Shaun Wallace of The Chase. The online quiz provided some lockdown fun as it linked up care home residents around the country as they tried their hand against the professional mastermind.
