More than 100 people gathered in Huntingdon for a lively spring celebration that brought together residents, families and the local community for a day full of fun.
The event, held at Montague House Care Home, featured a packed programme of activities for all ages. Children were kept entertained with a circus skills workshop led by magician Magic Merlin, while a variety of stalls and an Easter egg hunt added to the festive atmosphere.
A petting zoo proved especially popular at the Keeling Lane home, drawing crowds throughout the day and delighting younger visitors.
Resident Sue Mudge, aged 78, said: “It was such a success! It was lovely to see the local children enjoying themselves.”
Sue Sheard, whose mother Beryl, aged 99, lives at the home, praised the welcoming feel of the event. She added: “It was a beautiful day, and it was wonderful to see the children running around and having fun.
“There was such a mix of ages, and it felt like a real family atmosphere.”
Gwen Gill, sister of a former resident, added: “The atmosphere was great. It was a properly family-friendly event, and it was so lovely arriving and seeing the petting zoo set up outside.”
Wellbeing Lead Rosemarie Parks said: “It felt wonderful to bring people together and celebrate the new season. Thank you to everyone who came along.”
