Residents and their loved ones joined the team for a joyful afternoon of music, food and festivities.

The sun shone as entertainer John Carmichael performed a fantastic set on accordion and got the crowd singing.

Later, Willow Moon took to the stage and sang classic songs to the appreciative audience.

Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coach Morag Scott said it was a day fit for the Queen herself.

Morag said: “The atmosphere was terrific – everyone had a wonderful time at the party.

“It was so lovely to see family and friends getting together to enjoy this milestone jubilee and having so much fun.

“We set up the tables outdoors in our car park, and the entire space was full of revellers.

“The Queen even popped in to take photos with her loyal subjects!”

The guests enjoyed afternoon tea on china cake stands packed with sandwiches, cakes and scones.

The kitchen team also served up hot food including burgers and hotdogs too.

Nurse Gail had made some stunning jubilee cupcakes with delicious buttercream icing and a Scottish tablet, which both tasted as amazing as they looked.

Resident Susan was joined by her niece May and great-niece Hazel at the happy occasion, and they said they had a great time.

May said: “it was a superb, lovely day. The music was pitched perfectly for the event. Thank you!”
