Thankfully the weather held as piper Tony Collins began his set of classic Scottish songs on the bagpipes as the home celebrated Scotland’s traditional day.

Residents were snuggled up in the warm with their blankets around them as piper Tony played outside the lounge window.

The performance ended with a fantastic finale of ‘Happy Birthday’ as one of the residents was also celebrating their special day.

According to Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coach Marianne Fernandez-Faichney, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the musical treat.

Marianne said: “It was terrific to hear the bagpipes being played so beautifully right there in front of us.

“Piper Tony did a terrific job, and the residents felt so lucky to be able to enjoy hearing him play from the comfort of our lounge.

“It got us all in the St. Andrew’s Day spirit, and when he played ‘Happy Birthday’, it meant the world to our resident birthday girl.

“The whole occasion was fantastic, and we thank piper Tony very much for taking the time to play for us."
