Janyce Wilks

Registered Home Manager

Janyce Wilks is a Registered Nurse who completed her training in Portsmouth in 1984. Since qualifying, she has built a varied and rewarding career, working across primary and secondary care, the pharmaceutical industry, and forensic nursing before returning to Social Care in 2015. Having worked for other leading care providers, Janyce progressed through management roles before becoming a Home Manager.

 

Returning to Social Care brought her back to her roots: delivering dignified, high-quality care that is safe and effective, enabling individuals to live their best lives in their later years. As a Home Manager, Janyce takes great pride in creating a warm, happy, and homely environment for both residents and staff. She is passionate about ensuring the highest standards of care and is dedicated to maintaining them.

 

She believes that everyone in the community should have a voice and be heard, ensuring their choices are supported and their dignity is always upheld. Janyce joined the Hamberley team in 2024 and looks forward to providing peace of mind to families who entrust their loved ones into her care. Together with her team, she is committed to creating meaningful and lasting moments for residents and their families.

Mario Marzolini

Customer Relations Manager

With more than eight years’ experience in the private care sector, Mario is passionate about supporting families from their very first enquiry.

 

He understands that choosing a care home is a significant decision, often made at an emotional or uncertain time. His role is to listen carefully, answer questions clearly and help families understand their options, whether they are planning ahead or looking for support more urgently.

 

Mario also brings over 25 years’ experience from the hospitality industry, including five-star hotels and luxury spas. Starting his career as a holistic therapist before moving into spa management, he developed a strong focus on thoughtful service, personal attention and creating a welcoming experience for every guest.

 

This blend of care knowledge and hospitality experience shapes Mario’s approach at Thames Wood House, where he is committed to helping residents and families feel comfortable, supported and genuinely looked after.
