Residents at Meryton Place recently welcomed students from Broadlands School for a morning filled with football-themed activities, laughter and intergenerational friendship.
The students brought plenty of energy and enthusiasm to the visit, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere from the moment they arrived. Residents were delighted to join in alongside the young visitors, enjoying the opportunity to connect, compete and share experiences together.
A variety of football-inspired activities were organised throughout the morning, including football games, football darts, Subbuteo and table football. The friendly competitions encouraged teamwork, conversation and lots of good-natured rivalry, with participants of all ages getting involved and showing off their skills.
The visit highlighted the many benefits of intergenerational activities, providing opportunities for residents and students to build meaningful connections while learning from one another. It was wonderful to see friendships forming as everyone worked together, cheered each other on and celebrated their successes.
The morning was filled with smiles, laughter and memorable moments, demonstrating the positive impact that community partnerships can have for both younger and older generations.
