Residents from Lovell Place recently enjoyed a truly unforgettable outing to Bristol Beacon, thanks to a kind invitation from Bristol Care Home Group, where they attended a performance by the internationally acclaimed Aurora Orchestra.
The unique immersive concert placed audience members at the heart of the performance, with the talented musicians surrounding them as they played the music of Mozart. This extraordinary setting created a powerful and engaging musical experience, allowing residents to feel fully immersed in the performance.
Resident Janet Green (94) described the afternoon as a wonderful experience, saying:
"It was a lovely experience to be able to hear a live orchestra instead of on the radio. Thank you so much to the staff involved in making this happen – it was truly special."
Fellow resident Tony Powell also thoroughly enjoyed the event, which left a lasting impression on everyone who attended.
Aurora Orchestra is renowned for its innovative approach to classical music, bringing audiences closer to musicians through immersive performances that transform the traditional concert experience. The visit provided residents with a fantastic opportunity to enjoy world-class live music and spend time together experiencing something truly unique.
The outing was filled with smiles, conversation and memorable moments, and residents returned to Lovell Place with plenty to talk about. A huge thank you to Bristol Care Home Group for making such a special experience possible.
