Hindhead Place Supports Local Dementia Charity with Fundraising Donation

Hindhead Place Supports Local Dementia Charity with Fundraising Donation

The team at Hindhead Place Care Home recently presented a £300 donation to The Hunter Centre in Haslemere, a local dementia day care charity supporting individuals and families across the community.

The funds were raised through a raffle held at the home, with residents, team members, families and local supporters all contributing. The main prize, a Fortnum & Mason hamper, helped generate strong interest and enthusiasm for the cause.

Supporting dementia awareness and local wellbeing

The Hunter Centre provides day care services, social opportunities and practical support for people living with dementia, alongside respite and guidance for families and carers. Its work helps reduce isolation, promote wellbeing and support people to remain active and connected within their community.

Supporting people living with dementia is central to life at Hindhead Place, where person-centred residential dementia care focuses on comfort, familiarity and meaningful daily experiences tailored to each resident.

Community values in action

At Hindhead Place, supporting local initiatives and dementia awareness is an important part of everyday life. Fundraising activities like this bring residents, families and the wider community together while supporting organisations making a meaningful difference locally.

The team looks forward to continuing its partnership with The Hunter Centre and supporting the valuable work it carries out for the Haslemere community.
