Delicious mocktails served up with some classical music had everyone buzzing at Milngavie Manor Care Home.

The special event was a hit with residents who enjoyed a range of juices, sodas and waters – bringing a taste of summer into the busy home.

Milngavie Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Morag Scott said: “We felt like a treat, and the cold winter days can get very wearisome, so it’s lovely to bring a taste of summer into the home.

“The music accompanying the mocktails helped enhance the lovely event and atmosphere, so we will certainly be doing it all again soon.”

Mocktails are healthy because they hydrate the body — especially if you use coconut water and sparkling mineral water as your mocktail base.

The deliciously refreshing drinks are also increasingly popular as they do not include alcohol.

Morag added: “As well as the beautiful cool drinks, the music brought back some happy memories and got everyone talking.

“Music really can improve the quality of life for everyone - it can be motivational yet also very calming.”
