Registered Care Home Manager
Daney Thomas is the Home Manager at Lovell Place. As a General Nurse with over 23 years of experience, she has earned an NVQ 5 in Leadership and Management, as well as an MA in English Literature. Much of her career has been in the private sector, managing both residential and nursing homes. Daney has a proven record of transforming homes needing improvement, with notable success in raising CQC ratings. Before nursing, she worked in retail and ran a family business. Living in the Southwest of England, outside of work Daney has a love for baking, interior design, and dressmaking.

With over 19 years of experience in the elderly healthcare sector and a rich background in HR, Marketing, and Sales, Sarah brings a unique blend of professional expertise and heartfelt compassion to her role at Lovell Place. As Customer Relations Manager, Sarah is committed to guiding individuals and families through every step of the care journey — from the first enquiry to settling in and beyond. Her warm, supportive approach ensures a smooth and reassuring transition into life at our Bristol care home. Outside of work, Sarah is a passionate music enthusiast who enjoys attending concerts and theatre performances. She also plays the piano and loves to sing — talents that often bring joy to residents and team members alike.
