Valentine’s Celebration Brings Romance to Montague House

Valentine’s Celebration Brings Romance to Montague House

Residents at Montague House Care Home in Brampton, Huntingdonshire recently enjoyed a special Valentine’s Day celebration as part of an evening designed to celebrate love and companionship.

For the occasion, part of the home was transformed into a restaurant-style dining room, complete with personalised invitations, rose petals and heart-shaped decorations. Couples were invited to enjoy a romantic meal together in a relaxed and beautifully decorated setting.

Resident Brenda Davey, aged 82, attended the evening with her husband John and said the experience was a wonderful surprise.

She thanked the team for organising the event and said the room looked beautiful, adding that everything about the evening felt special.

Several other couples also enjoyed the celebration, sharing their appreciation for the thoughtful atmosphere and the opportunity to spend time together in a romantic setting.

Geoff Lloyd described the evening as excellent, while his wife Rosemary said it was a lovely and romantic experience. Another couple, Mr and Mrs Lanham, also spoke warmly about the event, saying they had a wonderful evening together.

Montague House Home Manager Paula Yorkston Toy said it was incredibly moving to see the couples enjoying such meaningful time together.

She explained that occasions like these are an important part of life at Montague House, giving residents and their loved ones opportunities to celebrate relationships and create special memories.
