Lovell Place Care Home, on Sparrowbill Way, threw open its doors to the local community to celebrate its third birthday, welcoming friends, family members and neighbours for an evening filled with music, laughter and togetherness.
The celebrations were brought to life by singer John Prescott, whose lively vocals had toes tapping and residents singing and dancing.
Resident Joan Cole, aged 99, said: “Thank you to all of the staff for their dedication and hard work in making this evening so special and memorable. It’s been absolutely wonderful, and I’ve enjoyed every moment.”
Fellow resident Tony Powell, aged 91, added: “It has been a lovely evening. I’m so happy – well done to everyone who made it happen.”
Home Manager Daney Thomas said the evening was a proud moment for the entire Lovell Place team. She said: “We are like one big family here, and it’s wonderful to see just how much the home has achieved in three years.
“We are delighted to welcome so many friends and family today. Events like this really show the strong sense of community we’ve built together.”
Guests were treated to delicious refreshments throughout the evening, including a celebratory supper.
