Live Harp Music Brings a Relaxed Afternoon to Dorking Manor

Live Harp Music Brings a Relaxed Afternoon to Dorking Manor

The gentle sound of harp music recently drifted through Dorking Manor Care Home, as residents gathered to enjoy a relaxed afternoon performance from visiting musician Margaret.

Margaret brought along her beautiful gold harp and played a mix of familiar songs and classical pieces. Residents listened together, many recognising favourite tunes and sharing a few memories as the music played.

What makes Margaret’s visits especially enjoyable, residents said, is the way she chats between pieces. Her light-hearted stories and explanations about the music quickly draw everyone in and make the afternoon feel informal and welcoming.

Family members who were visiting at the time also joined the audience, creating a lovely atmosphere in the home as residents sat together enjoying the performance.

Live music afternoons like this have become a favourite part of life at Dorking Manor, giving residents the chance to relax, listen to music and spend time together.

Margaret is now a familiar and much-loved visitor to the home, and residents are already looking forward to welcoming her back again soon.
