Dorking Manor Brings the Spirit of Brazil to Care Home Open Week

Dorking Manor Brings the Spirit of Brazil to Care Home Open Week

Dorking Manor was transformed into a vibrant celebration of Brazilian culture as residents, families, visitors and team members came together for a spectacular Brazil Carnival Day as part of Care Home Open Week.

The community open day was filled with colour, music and energy, creating a festive atmosphere that was enjoyed by everyone who attended. Guests were welcomed into the home and gardens to experience an afternoon inspired by the sights and sounds of Brazil.

The event featured an exciting programme of entertainment, including live music, samba dancers, a local school choir and a resident percussion performance, all of which helped bring the carnival spirit to life. The highlight of the afternoon was a fantastic performance from talented Latin singer Hiday, whose powerful vocals had guests singing along and dancing throughout the event.

Visitors also enjoyed a delicious gourmet barbecue prepared by Head Chef James and the hospitality team, including Jeremy and Dolwin, who worked hard to create a mouth-watering selection of BBQ-style dishes and tropical refreshments.

The event showcased the strong sense of community at Dorking Manor, bringing together residents, families, friends and local visitors for an afternoon of fun, friendship and celebration.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who attended and to the dedicated team members who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the day such a success. Their enthusiasm and commitment helped create a memorable experience that perfectly captured the spirit of Care Home Open Week.

It was truly a day to remember, filled with music, laughter, great food and wonderful community connections.
