A lively quiz night recently brought residents, families and members of the local community together at Cambridge Grove Care Home in Fulbourn, Cambridge.
The event proved a popular evening at the home, with seven teams taking part in the friendly competition. Questions were set by Amy and Andrea, who kept everyone on their toes across a series of rounds.
Teams competed for a prize hamper filled with decorative items, treats and flowers to share. As the evening unfolded, the competition proved close, with two teams, Cam Boys and Sheila’s Wheels, finishing level at the end of the rounds.
A tie-breaker question was needed to separate the teams, with Cam Boys ultimately taking the win.
The runners-up were also rewarded with a small prize, receiving a Hamberley insulated mug, stress ball and a tube of Smarties.
Alongside the quiz itself, guests also took part in a raffle during the evening, raising £100 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The quiz night created a relaxed and sociable atmosphere, with residents and visitors enjoying the chance to spend time together, test their knowledge and share a few laughs along the way.
The team at Cambridge Grove regularly hosts events that bring people into the home and help strengthen connections with the local community.
More events are planned in the coming weeks, including an Easter celebration on 31 March, with further details available through the home and on social media.
