Elstow Manor Care Home in Wixams recently recognised two outstanding care professionals as part of its new Make a Difference Campaign, created to celebrate individuals making a positive impact within the local community.
The campaign invited local people to nominate everyday heroes whose dedication, kindness and commitment improve the lives of others. Following careful consideration, Justina Igunbor and Diana Amin were named joint winners.
Both winners were recognised for their compassion, professionalism and the meaningful support they provide to those in their care.
Justina Igunbor, who works with Caremark Bedford, was nominated for her reliability, empathy and the reassurance she brings to those she supports. Diana Amin, from Bionicare Bedford, was praised for her inspirational leadership, dedication and genuine care for both colleagues and service users.
Val Foley, Customer Relations Manager at Elstow Manor, said the decision was not easy, reflecting the strength and generosity of the local care community. She shared that the campaign was created to recognise the many people quietly making a difference every day.
At Elstow Manor, community connection is an important part of daily life. By launching the Make a Difference Campaign, the home aims to shine a light on the people who help make Bedford a caring and supportive place to live.
Recognising compassion in action reflects the same values that shape life within the home itself, where kindness, respect and human connection guide everything the team does.
