Residents from Meryton Place Care Home recently enjoyed a truly special outing to a local boathouse, filled with wonderful moments, conversation and nostalgia.
Surrounded by memorabilia celebrating rowing and fishing, the trip sparked fond memories for many. Adding to the magic, a boat gently rowed past on the river, creating a peaceful and picturesque setting for everyone to enjoy. Residents also spent time relaxing together with a drink, sharing stories and laughter.
There were so many meaningful highlights throughout the day. Clive was delighted to see a skiff up close above the bar and watch another glide along the river. Christine enjoyed a particularly special moment, spending quality time out with her family. Tony smiled as he spotted a Turner Coach pass by after enjoying his favourite Thatchers, while Phil shared a lovely moment with his son, taking in the fishing equipment on display.
These outings are a wonderful way to support wellbeing, connection and reminiscence, creating moments that truly matter for our residents and their loved ones.
