Traditional Party Fun Is A Hit With Verwood Care Home Residents

Traditional Party Fun Is A Hit With Verwood Care Home Residents

The Verwood community was invited to mosey on down to a local care home for a day of traditional country fun.

The event at Verwood House Care Home, Ringwood Road, featured a wide array of entertainment, including live music, themed decorations, delicious refreshments, and the star attraction - two adorable ponies named Sammy and Tiddlywinks.

The ponies arrived with Fiona from Ponies n Paws. They were a major highlight of the day and captivated everyone with their gentle nature and charm.

Verwood House resident Betty Campaign said: "What a lovely party to enjoy with friends."

Fellow resident Betty Emery added: "I loved seeing the ponies and celebrating summer together."

The home's garden was transformed into a rustic Western-themed setting, complete with straw bales, vibrant decorations, and a lively photo booth. Guests enjoyed posing with cowboy hats and other fun props, capturing memories throughout the afternoon.

Adding to the festive spirit, Verwood House team member Grace Sarfas provided musical entertainment on the ukulele, delighting the crowd with classic tunes.

A wide selection of refreshments, including sweet treats and cooling beverages, kept guests fuelled throughout the sunny afternoon.

Verwood House Wellbeing Coach Emilia Turner said: "It was wonderful to see everyone come together and enjoy such a fun-filled afternoon.

"Parties like this create special memories for our residents and their loved ones, so we are proud to be able to organise the event like this for everyone."
