Our residents enjoyed a relaxed and flavourful afternoon at Alston House during our recent wine tasting event – a delightful opportunity to socialise, try something new, and explore different wines from around the world.
We sampled two white wines and two red wines, each offering unique flavours and aromas. To keep our palates fresh, we enjoyed refreshing slices of watermelon in between tastings — a perfect palate cleanser on a warm day!
After much swirling, sipping, and thoughtful discussion, the clear favourites were revealed:
White Wine Winner: Italian Pecorino
Red Wine Winner: Spanish Rioja
It was a wonderful afternoon filled with good company, great conversation, and lots of laughter — another memorable moment in the vibrant life of our Alston House community.
