The gardens at Montague House Care Home in Brampton, near Huntingdon, became a scene straight out of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland as residents, relatives, and friends gathered for a vibrant Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
Guests were welcomed by Alice, the Queen of Hearts, and the lively White Rabbit, brilliantly performed by entertainer Sunset Magic Simon Harris. Music, bubble magic, and plenty of laughter carried through the afternoon, while tea party tables were filled with sweet treats and refreshments.
The atmosphere was truly joyful, with residents and visitors enjoying the chance to share such a colourful occasion together. The home and garden was decorated with playful Wonderland touches, creating a charming backdrop for photos and happy memories. Even a few passing showers couldn’t dampen spirits, as families relaxed and enjoyed the festivities.
Reflecting on the day, the Montague House wellbeing team said that events like these are about more than entertainment. They bring residents, their loved ones, and the wider community together, helping to create special moments that will be remembered long after the day itself.
