Big smiles and happy crowds enjoyed the sunshine fun when a Glasgow care home opened its doors to the community for its annual summer fete.
The entertainment at Newton House Care Home, North Greenlaw Way, proved a huge hit and included songs from Jamie Walker. Jamie presented his Bubbles in Concert, a Michael Buble tribute act.
Also entertaining on the day was magician Stevo and musician Tam the Piper.
Guest Shirley Littlejohn said: “What a wonderful day for all the lovely residents and staff. Thank you so much for organising the fete. Plenty of happy smiles all round.”
Visitors spent time in the beautiful gardens also enjoying the timeless classics from entertainer Jamie whilst guests of all ages could enjoy the impressive magic show.
Newton House Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Kerry-Anne McDade said: “Everyone had a blast, and we had such an array of entertainment, there really was something to please all tastes and preferences.
“Thank you to everyone who came along on the day and enjoyed our gardens, made new friends as well as bringing along their smiles.
“It was a truly lovely day with a great turn out from the community.
“The day provided joy to our residents, something that we find very important at Newton House to ensure they have a positive lifestyle and wellbeing with consistent engagement and social interaction.”
Other entertainment at the summer fete included creative Andrea from Happy Days Glasgow, who thrilled with her face painting and magical balloon modelling skills.
Hanni from Balloons & Blossoms also attended the day.
Hanni said: “I had a lovely time at the fete and met some lovely people and residents. Kerry-Anne did a fabulous job.”
Guest Jude Wilkinson was thrilled with the day. She said: “What an amazing day, thank you so much. My family and friends loved it and well done to Kerry-Anne for an amazing job as well as to the rest of the Newton House team.”
