Montague House in Brampton receives veteran friendly award

Montague House in Brampton receives veteran friendly award

Montague House Care Home, in Brampton, has received the Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) status, a recognition of its dedication to supporting veterans.

They were also presented with a bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, which thanks organisations that support forces personnel.

Paula Yorkston-Toy, Montague House care home manager, said: "We are committed to demonstrating our support for our defence personnel.
"We want to show that we support not just those who have served in the forces but for those who serve today.

"A few of our residents have served in the forces and this award is important to them and to our wider community."

Montague House achieved the VFF status by meeting eight standards. These included recognising armed forces status in care plans, addressing social isolation, and signposting support services.

The home has also signed the armed forces covenant, showing its support for the commitment and sacrifice made by our men and women in the armed forces community.
