The team at Milngavie Manor is celebrating after receiving an outstanding Care Inspectorate report, with the home rated very good across all five assessed areas.
Following unannounced inspections throughout September and October, Milngavie Manor received high praise for its approach to supporting residents’ wellbeing, the quality of its leadership, the strength of its team, the home environment and the standard of care planning.
Home Manager Angela McGurk said the report reflects the dedication and heart shown by the entire Milngavie Manor community.
“It’s wonderful to receive such a strong inspection report,” Angela said. “Every day, we focus on delivering the very best care for our residents, and this outcome is a real testament to the commitment, compassion and professionalism of our team.
“We truly are a family here at Milngavie Manor, and this recognition belongs to our residents and their families just as much as it does to us.”
Inspectors highlighted the high standard of care provided at the home, noting that residents’ health and wellbeing were well supported through robust monitoring, personalised approaches and strong links with external health professionals. They also commended the team for ensuring residents’ wishes guided daily life and care.
The report stated:
“People living at the service were having their health and wellbeing supported to a high standard… There was evidence that people’s wishes were respected and positively influenced how they were supported.”
Leadership and management were also recognised as areas of excellence, with inspectors confirming the home had met all requirements in full. The home’s engaging and inclusive activities programme received further praise, reflecting the variety of meaningful experiences offered to residents each week.
