Father Christmas Brings Festive Cheer to Verwood House Care Home Fundraiser

Residents, families and members of the local community came together for a magical festive fundraiser at Verwood House Care Home, as Father Christmas and his reindeer made a special surprise visit in the run-up to Christmas.

Held at the care home on Ringwood Road in Verwood, the event welcomed around 200 visitors of all ages and raised £132 for the University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity, supporting vital local healthcare services.

The afternoon was filled with seasonal entertainment, festive treats and a charming Christmas village, with the highlight being the chance to meet Father Christmas, and even real reindeer, creating memorable moments for residents and visitors alike.

Emilia Turner, Wellbeing Coach at Verwood House Care Home, said:

“The visit from Father Christmas and his reindeer was truly magical. Seeing residents, staff and visitors come together in the spirit of the season filled the home with warmth and excitement. Watching so many smiles made the day unforgettable.”
