Dorking resident Stephen couldn’t believe his luck when his name was pulled out of a hat winning him a luxury food hamper thanks to a local care home.
The team at Dorking Manor Care Home, Ridgeway Road, opened their doors to the community for a giant Easter hunt inviting people a chance to enter the raffle.
Stephen was delighted with his prize which was presented by Dorking Manor Care Home Manager Emma Dudhee, pictured.
Emma said: “It was lovely to see the home so busy for our community day and we hope we hope we will do it again soon.”
The home also used the family fun day to launch its school’s competition – asking local kids to name four of its services, based on local themes.
Customer Relations Manager Lesley Loizou said: "We’re encouraging children to get creative and hope they will come up with some super ideas".
“Once we have some winning names, we will certainly be having a celebration and inviting our winners into our lovely home."
