Residents joined team members at a Cofton Hackett care home to say a big thanks to their caring district nurses.
Everyone at Cofton Park Manor Care Home, Lickey Road, wanted to thank their lovely team to celebrate International Nurses Day.
Cofton Park Manor Customer Relations Manager Wendy Sibley said: “Every day we are grateful for the care our wonderful district nurses provide.
“It’s so nice to have a dedicated day to show the nurses how much we appreciate and care for them.”
To honour them for their efforts and commitment throughout the community, the super nurses were served a delicious buffet and handed a gift on the day.
The district nurses are community-based nurses who provide care to patients in their homes, GP surgeries, and residential care Homes.
International Nurses Day celebrates the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth. The day is organised by the International Council of Nurses and serves to highlight the importance of nurses in the healthcare system, celebrating their dedication, hard work, and impact on patient health.
