A dazzling display of community spirit lit up West Byfleet as residents and team members from Charrington Manor Care Home joined local families for the town’s annual festive lights celebration at Botanical Place.
The Hobbs Close care home proudly sponsored the volunteer-run event, which featured more than 45 local stalls, live entertainment, children’s activities, and the ever-popular Santa’s Grotto.
Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Claudia Modiga said: “Events like this are so special because they bring every generation together. From the youngest children queueing for Santa’s Grotto to our residents enjoying the music and atmosphere, it’s wonderful to share these moments as one community.”
The Charrington Manor team were especially proud to support the children’s presents and Grotto experience, helping create magical memories for local families and residents alike.
Claudia added: “Seeing the joy on young faces and watching our residents connect with local families is what community is all about. We’re delighted to play a part in that.”
Funded entirely by sponsorship, donations, and local businesses, without any council contribution, the event was a testament to what communities can achieve when all generations come together.
The team at Charrington Manor Care Home wish everyone a warm and magical festive season and look forward to more intergenerational celebrations in the year ahead.
