Cambridge Grove Residents Raise £510 for East Anglian Air Ambulance

Residents, families, and team members at Cambridge Grove Care Home in Fulbourn proudly presented a £510 cheque to the East Anglian Air Ambulance following their successful summer fundraising fete.

The community event brought together residents and local visitors for an afternoon of fun, featuring live music, face painting, balloon modelling, and plenty of refreshments. One of the highlights was a special visit from The Raptor Foundation, whose impressive birds of prey captivated everyone watching.

Resident Pauline Grant, aged 90, said:

“It’s been a fabulous day – so well organised and plenty of things to keep everyone happy. The team have worked hard.”

Entertainment from Sunset Magic and activities by KJ Entertainment helped make the day a great success, alongside a raffle and a range of stalls that contributed to the fundraising total.

Accepting the cheque, Stuart Wood from East Anglian Air Ambulance said:

“It is so wonderful for a care home to raise money for our charity – we are very grateful. The money will go a long way in supporting the team and the incredible work they do.”

The charity provides helicopter emergency medical services across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Bedfordshire, delivering 24/7 critical care every day of the year.

Reflecting on the event, Cambridge Grove Home Ambassador Amy Milburn said:

“It felt good to hand the cheque over. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped us raise this fantastic amount for such an important cause.”
