At Alston House, our Around the World series continues to bring joy, culture, and connection to life — and our recent stop in Italy was no exception!
Residents kicked off the day with a hands-on pizza-making session, filling the home with the delicious aroma of fresh dough and rich Italian toppings. Our Bistro was beautifully transformed into a classic Italian trattoria, complete with rustic décor and charming table settings.
In the afternoon, we opened up our very own “bar,” offering a selection of Italian wines and refreshing limoncello, giving everyone a true taste of the Mediterranean. The celebrations continued with an Italian-inspired interactive quiz and live Italian music, bringing laughter, learning, and a lively atmosphere to the home.
It was a day full of flavour, culture, and connection – a true celebration of the Italian spirit. Our residents had a fantastic time exploring Italy without leaving Alston House!
