When Milngavie resident Jacqui James was born the Loch Ness Monster was spotted for the first time and Albert Einstein had just arrived in the US as a refugee.

Former physiotherapist Jacqui may not have been celebrating the sighting of the iconic beast, but she was certainly celebrating her birthday at home with her husband Bill Cameron.

The couple’s family travelled from all over Scotland and England to be with Jacqui on her big day.

The couple enjoyed a delicious spread of cake and all things that make for a scrumptious tea.

Jacqui’s husband Bill, a former distillery service manager, and who also lives at Milngavie said the couple were delighted to be enjoying the big day tougher with their family.

Milngavie Manor’s Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Morag Scott said staff and residents were all in high spirits for the big day.

She said: “We all love a party and Jacqui deserves to be spoilt.”

Jacqui and Bill have been married for 30 years.
